By resorting to cyber bullying kids feel power over people, which makes them feel good about themselves. Most kids that are cyber bullied act out in school or at home and cause problems. Teenagers often resort to cyber bullying because they are trying to figure out who they are. Kids are not taught how to control their frustrations in school and take it out on kids online sometimes the kids have done nothing to upset them.
Cyberbullying is a huge problem in society that is not often heard of until it is too late, as many teens decide to commit suicide and deal with depression. A reason why social media is dangerous for teenager is because teeagers are vunerable to any type of pressure. Cyberbullying is becoming more popular than regular school bullying. Nearly everyone who goes online witnesses cyber bullying and just sits by and watches it happen. Some people might not even care, but the ones that do can really change the lives of others by doing something about it instead of watching someone being victimized by another. Something as simple as just reporting the post or telling someone about the cyberbullying could help or even save the life of the teenager or adult whose being harassed.
Bullying is something that nobody should have to go through but alas, it occurs towards any number of individuals or people. It is morally reprehensible but sadly typical in high school and educational institutions. A lot of teachers are actually assigning essays on bullying to students in the hope of making people think about it seriously.
In the United States, the second leading cause of teenage death is suicide; laws that promote awareness and education about Cyber-Bullying are needed to help prevent more situations like that. Due to the growth of technology in American society, the younger generations are adapting to the excessive use of computers, cell phones, and social media. Sadly, seventy-four percent of college surveyors claimed that enforced policies would take little or no effect on online bullying behavior whatsoever.
